SINGLE REVIEW: 'Be Mine' | The Covasettes

What once was your mam's favourite, sweet, little indie-pop band are quickly turning into one of Manchester's rising indie-rock stars. The Covasettes have been pleasing our ears for the last three years, having us hooked since their debut single, This Feeling, which instantly showed us their potential.

2019 was an exciting year for this quartet's career, as they headed out on their first headline tour and released their debut EP, which is full of fun summer vibes - perfect for the sunny weather we're experiencing now! This year got off to a good start as The Covas released their track Spin, accompanied by B-Side Irate.

Just under five months on the boys are releasing their brand new single, Be Mine, which sees the band heading in a solid new direction with their music. Fitting nicely after their previous single, Be Mine has a real raw, gritty sound, that's a lot more rock-orientated than the music they've put out over the last few years - you won't catch me complaining, though; I think this track's pretty damn good.

Fuelled by driving guitar riffs, anthemic choruses, and Buxton's fervent vocals, I can see Be Mine quickly becoming a fan favourite; it's already one of the band's "favourite tracks ever."

The band have high expectations for this track and hope fans love it just as much as they do, and can't wait for people to shout the lyrics back at them at a gig - all being well with the world, you can do just that at the start of next year, as The Covasettes' UK tour has been rescheduled for February 2021. I would very much recommend grabbing some tickets, this band live is something you really don't want to miss.

Be Mine will be available on all streaming platforms on 24.07
